Like you, I know what it's like to unconsciously carry old wounds no one can see. For so long, I coped by striving to be everything for everyone else.

But in time, I started to crumble, realizing something had to shift.

I really put in the effort to improve my relationships. I focused on better communication, expressing gratitude, planning quality time - thinking if I could just be ‘better’ in some way, it would help.

But no matter what self-help book, theory, affirmations, or rituals I tried - I still felt something vital was missing inside.

Those methods helped short-term, but I kept finding faults, almost without meaning to

It’s like I was fixing small stuff yet missing the big stuff underneath that really bothered me.

Desperate, I sought help.

Through my therapy sessions, I gained valuable insights, but I felt something was still missing - a deeper healing I longed for.

This led me to discover somatic therapy, a method that truly spoke to the core of my trauma. It was a revelation, not just in understanding but in feeling and healing.

The journey continues - I needed to apply these insights to my everyday life. Despite knowing my patterns, changing them was challenging, especially with the cultural backdrop of my upbringing in Japan, where family roles and parenting styles are rarely questioned.

Meanwhile, I encountered an evidence-based coaching method grounded in neuroscience and cognitive psychology. This approach taught me effective ways to leverage brain function, enhancing outcomes significantly.

As I transformed into my most authentic self, I uncovered my life's purpose - to be the compassionate guide for others I wish I had.

    Contemplative somatic psychotherapy / coaching can help you address emotional challenges, trauma, stress, and relationship issues. It provides a safe space to explore your body's wisdom, release tension, process past experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. This approach can lead to greater self-compassion, resilience, and a more balanced and authentic way of living.
  • Do I need any prior experience with mindfulness or body-based practices?
    No prior experience is necessary. Contemplative somatic psychotherapy is open to individuals of all backgrounds and levels of experience. I will guide and support you throughout the process, providing instructions and tools to help you engage with mindfulness and body awareness practices effectively.
  • I live outside of Colorado. Can you still be my therapist?
    I am licensed to provide counseling exclusively within the Colorado region at this time. If you live outside Colorado, you can apply for coaching programs.
  • Do you accept insurance? How much do your sessions cost?
    Psychotherapy Services (Colorado Residents Only) & Transformational Coaching Sessions: I only accept private payments at this moment. Your investment is $325/55 mins.
  • I live outside of the United States. Can you still be my coach?
    Absolutely! Since all my sessions are virtual, I work with people from all around the world!
